For Food Breaks | Please pack a simple healthy NUT FREE (all nuts included including tree nuts). Please, no greasy foods, desserts, or colored drinks.  We don't have a lot of time to eat so please make sure the students don't have too many sides with their meal.  We often have them telling us they aren't done with their meal because they have various foods packed :-).  If your student likes sandwiches then a healthy, hearty sandwich is a great meal choice!

Sunday, June 8 , Arrival : 12:30 pm

Hair and Make up

Below is a tutorial on hair and make up for the performance which you might find helpful. You will need your hair and make up done before arriving at the theater.

Our youngest of students can modify make up expectations.  False eyelashes are only required for our upper levels.  You will see after viewing the video below (before the eyelashes are applied) that the dancer does not look too “done -up” even though a lot of make up has been applied.

Easy Version!: At minimum, we ask students to wear foundation, pink blush, red lipstick (not brown or mauve colors) and mascara. Additionally applying highlighter on the eyes, eye liner and eyeshadow will enhance the face even more and will look wonderful from the audience. Please remember that what seems like a lot of make up to you will look very light on stage.  Dancers end up looking washed out and dull if they don't apply enough make up.  The idea is to look radiant on stage!  It makes the whole production look more exciting when the dancers are radiant!
